App Privacy Policy

As of 2026 · This policy applies to the WP Planer app. For the website, see Website Privacy.

WP Planer is designed as a local-first app. This means your building and room data, calculations and photos stay on your device. We do not operate any servers, user accounts or cloud backend for WP Planer.

2. What data does the app process?

2.1 Locally on your device

The following data is stored exclusively locally within the app:

This data never leaves your device unless you export and share it yourself as a PDF or JSON file.

2.2 Regional climate data

For the annual simulation, the app matches your stated location to regional climate data. Only a coarse location (e.g. town or postal code) is used for this – no precise position data, and nothing is transmitted to us.

2.3 Camera & LiDAR

When you measure rooms via LiDAR or take photos for documentation, the app accesses your device's camera or LiDAR sensor. The resulting measurements and images are processed and stored exclusively on your device.

2.4 StoreKit / Apple servers

When you purchase or restore the Pro subscription, the app communicates with Apple's StoreKit servers to verify purchase status. We only receive an anonymous confirmation of the active subscription from Apple – no payment data.

3. Permissions the app may request

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your iOS settings.

4. What the app does NOT do

5. Legal basis

To the extent any processing occurs at all (local storage of your inputs), it is based on contract performance under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the app's features).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you generally have the following rights:

Since WP Planer stores your data exclusively locally, you exercise access, rectification and erasure yourself directly in the app (e.g. by deleting a project). For questions, reach us at info@nordicdatahub.de.

7. Updates

This privacy policy will be updated whenever the app's data processing changes materially (e.g. new cloud features).
