Terms of Use
As of 2026 · Terms for using WP Planer (app) and the associated website (informational translation; the German version is legally binding)
§ 1 Scope
These terms of use apply to the use of the app WP Planer and the website wp-planer.nordicdatahub.de, both offered by Niklaus Olsen (Nordic Data Hub), Taruper Hauptstr. 164, 24943 Flensburg, Germany (the "Provider").
§ 2 Contract formation & provider
Provider: Niklaus Olsen (Nordic Data Hub)
Taruper Hauptstr. 164
24943 Flensburg
Germany
Email: info@nordicdatahub.de
The app is distributed via the Apple App Store. The contract for purchasing/subscribing to the app is formed between the user and Apple Distribution International Limited. The Apple Media Services Terms additionally apply.
The Provider is the developer and copyright holder of the app.
§ 3 Scope of services
WP Planer is an app for building and room capture and heat load calculation, with the following features:
- Guided building capture (location, year built, envelope, heating, hot water)
- Room capture with windows, doors and radiators, optionally via LiDAR
- Heat load calculation using the simplified method of DIN EN 12831
- Radiator check at 55/45/35 °C flow temperature
- Annual simulation with climate data (seasonal performance factor, usage, cost, bivalence point)
- PDF report and JSON export
The specific feature set depends on the app version and the chosen plan (Free or Pro).
§ 4 Plans & pricing
WP Planer is available in the following plans:
- Free: free forever, one project with the full calculation (building and room capture, heat load, radiator check, annual simulation), without PDF report and JSON export
- Pro: monthly or yearly subscription, current price available on the App Store (unlimited projects, PDF report with room table and photos, JSON export)
Billing is handled through the user's Apple ID account. The subscription renews automatically for the selected term unless cancelled at least 24 hours before expiry. Manage or cancel the subscription in iOS Settings under "Apple ID → Subscriptions".
§ 5 Usage rights
The user receives a simple, non-transferable right to use the app on devices linked to their Apple ID. Modifying, decompiling, reverse-engineering or reselling the app is not permitted, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
§ 6 User obligations
- The user is responsible for the accuracy of the building and room data they enter.
- The user is responsible for assessing whether the values calculated by the app are sufficiently accurate for their intended use.
- WP Planer does not replace a code-compliant heat load calculation, on-site assessment, or binding professional design by a licensed installer or energy consultant.
§ 7 Liability
The Provider is liable under statutory provisions for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act.
For simple negligence, the Provider is liable only for breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), and only for foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
In particular, the Provider assumes no liability for the accuracy of values calculated by the app, as these depend materially on the building and room data entered by the user. The calculation provides a solid planning basis, not a building-code-binding professional design.
§ 8 Availability
The Provider strives to keep the app and website available without interruption but does not guarantee continuous availability. Maintenance, updates or technical faults may cause temporary limitations.
§ 9 Withdrawal / refunds
Purchases and subscriptions are processed via Apple. Refunds are handled exclusively under Apple's terms. Requests should be directed to Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
§ 10 Dispute resolution
The EU Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
§ 11 Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only to the extent it does not deprive them of protection granted by mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence.
Should individual provisions of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
